If your school is in the Nelson/Marlborough region, we can install the equipment for you on-site at no extra charge. For elsewhere in New Zealand we can courier it out and you can install it yourselves from our included instructions, or use your preferred electrician or IT company.
schoolbells.nz is a fully managed turnkey service that includes the hire of our custom designed hardware and software, all created in a modern development environment. All aspects of the hardware and service are constantly monitored, maintained and updated. We perform regular backups of our database to multiple locations and email & phone support is already included as part of our monthly fee.
We charge a one-off setup fee at the time of install after which you simply pay a single monthly access fee for us to handle all aspects of providing the service to you. This includes supplying, monitoring and maintaining the hardware necessary to operate the system at your site, such as the touch button device(s) and site controller, and also includes providing access to and maintaining the cloud based servers that we employ across multiple different providers and data centres to facilitate our backend service. All of our hardware is provided to you on a hire basis included in your monthly fee. All hardware remains the property of schoolbells.nz and we will replace it at our cost should it fail. Although we don't hold you to any contracts, we do ask that you return our equipment if you decide to cancel your service.
Our monthly fee is simple: $30+gst with one buttonpad device which must be installed at the location of your existing class-change bell button. Additional buttonpad devices are available for $12/month+gst each, and can be installed in any location of your choice as long as it is within the school's wifi coverage.
We are also able to provide more complex configuration arrangements such as jointly syncing, scheduing & controlling multiple bell systems at different physical locations (eg for split-site schools). Please reach out to us to discuss your needs.
